Aaron has 19 years of entertainment insurance industry experience, beginning his career at a leading entertainment insurance MGA, underwriting property, casualty, workers’ compensation and contingency lines of coverage. In 2006, he joined L.A. Xcess Insurance Brokers, a leading entertainment wholesale brokerage firm, managing all agency operations.

Sage Maroney
Senior Program Underwriter
Sage joined U.S. Risk in 2013 as a Senior Underwriter, focusing on multiple lines of coverage for the StaffPak program. She has worked in the insurance industry since 2003 in brokerage, MGA and underwriting capacities in various lines of business for property and casualty, surplus lines and workers’ compensation. Sage specializes in the temporary staffing/employment agency specialty market. The One Beacon Insurance Group meets the needs of standard staffing and PEO accounts with their admitted package policy, and certain underwriters at Lloyd’s of London meet the needs of the not-so-standard staffing and PEO accounts; Sage has the pen for both markets. Workers’ compensation is also written for staffing accounts by One Beacon of AIG, leading providers in the industry.
Sage is known for her exceptional service, broad commercial underwriting background and expertise in the staffing industry.

Program Underwriter
Skyler graduated from Wayland Baptist University in 2006 and has been in the insurance industry since 2007 in myriad capacities. He spent 7 years handling auto claims, including subrogation and arbitration. In 2014, he began an underwriting career in farm and ranch, moved on to non-profits, and in 2018 joined the StaffPak team at U.S. Risk.

Nicole McCarthy
Underwriter
Nicole McCarthy joined U.S. Risk in 2017 as an administrative assistant and worked her way up to becoming an underwriter with management duties. Nicole has three years of experience in the insurance industry and is responsible for underwriting, training and assisting other underwriters in rating, quoting and binding coverage for multiple lines of business including commercial general liability, property, crime, D&O and umbrella/excess liability. Nicole earned a master’s degree in Healthcare Administration from Independence University of San Diego in 2015.
