Tim Bennett, CIC
Senior Broker
Tim joined U. S. Risk in 2013 and has nearly 25 years of experience in the insurance industry. For more than 20 years, Tim has focused on management, professional and cyber liability as well as fidelity/crime bonds. His book of business encompasses a broad array of professional exposures with a heavy focus on financial institutions including banks, insurance companies, assets managers, private equity, venture capital, hedge funds, mutual funds, trust companies, family offices, mortgage bankers/brokers, specialty lenders and much more. With experience in underwriting, sales and product development, Tim is here to assist his agent partners with the placement of accounts that are standard, complex and distressed risks.

Leslie joined U.S. Risk in 2003. She has over 30 years of experience in the property and casualty insurance industry, with backgrounds in both retail and Wholesale. She earned her CIC designation in 1997.

Charles Espinosa
Senior Vice President/Branch Manager/Broker
Charles is the branch and underwriting manager of the U.S. Risk San Francisco regional office. Charles has more than 15 years of experience and a strong underwriting expertise in property, general liability, personal lines, garage, transportation, professional and financial products. He began his career at Hartford Insurance Company, where he spent many years underwriting small, middle market and technology professional business, primarily in the Northern and Southern California regions. Charles has worked at The St. Paul Insurance Company as a senior specialty underwriter within the public sector services unit. He spent several years as Vice President/Branch Manager, Black White & Associates Middle Market & Social Services unit where his responsibilities included the day-to-day management of all product lines along with property and casualty responsibilities. Most recently, he was a professional and specialty lines manager responsible for production and underwriting at RIC Insurance General Agency. Charles is a recipient of The Hartford financial services prestigious Middle Market Commercial Sales Champion award.
Charles received a B.A in Psychology from the University of Texas at San Antonio.

Jason began his insurance career at State Farm in 2011 and joined U.S. Risk in 2015. Jason is in the Fort Worth Underwriting Division with binding authority in a wide array of industries, including construction, retail stores, warehouses, LROs, and many others.

Andy Hightower
Vice President
Andy joined U.S. Risk in 2014 and handles both underwriting and brokerage accounts in all property and casualty lines and industries. He enjoys partnering in the success of some top-notch retail agents in Texas by providing excellent service, and helping customers understand their risks and coverage needs. For the first 12 years of his insurance career, Andy worked for a large national carrier with roles in claims, service management, and underwriting of middle market and large accounts.
Andy is a graduate of the University of North Texas, where he studied psychology, economics, and insurance, and has earned the CPCU and ARM designations.
Francisco Lopez
Underwriter
Francisco started with U.S. Risk in December 2018 and has over 8 years of experience in the commercial insurance industry, in both retail and wholesale. He is a graduate from the University of North Texas with a degree in Spanish and Marketing, with a concentration in B2B Professional Selling. He plans to pursue an MBA at UNT.

Karen joined U.S. Risk in 2001. She specializes in underwriting and brokerage of all types of contractors, bars/taverns/restaurants, liquor liability, storage tank pollution and other environmental liability, inland marine, commercial property, excess and umbrella, and small to medium sized energy risks. Karen has over 35 years of insurance industry experience, with 32 years an E&S underwriter and broker.

Ron has spent all of his 40+ years in the insurance industry in the excess and surplus lines wholesale arena. Kyle Richburg
Senior Underwriter
Kyle has been an underwriter since 1979, and an MGA underwriter/broker in Texas since 1992. He handles package and monoline coverage for a broad base of business types, including contractors, property owners, service, wholesale and retail businesses.
Kyle holds a BBA from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. He joined U.S. Risk in 2002.

Bill Rinker
TCAP Program Manager
Bill is responsible for managing TCAP, the team associated with community insurance, including the marketing, production and service of this group. Prior to joining U.S. Risk, Bill served in various leadership positions within the brokerage operations in which he worked, including underwriting, sales, sales management and branch management. He has worked with clients in construction, retail, manufacturing, utilities, residential builders and residential community associations. Prior to joining U.S. Risk, Bill has worked at Aon, Countrywide Insurance, A.J. Gallagher, Near North Insurance, and Arkwright Mutual. Bill attended Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minnesota.
TCAP provides Wind and Hail Buy Back (WHDBB) policies for all industries located in the coastal and the hail-belt regions of the U.S. These policies will buy down the overlying property Wind and Hail deductible to a desired or acceptable level.
