Amy D’Orazio has been in the insurance industry since 2000, starting on the carrier side and moving to the wholesale side in 2005. Her primary focus is commercial insurance. Amy received a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance.

Karla Dacosta
Associate Broker
Karla began her career in the insurance industry in 2011 during her senior year in college, after working for two years as an administrative assistant and later an assistant account manager for the professional division of a surplus lines brokerage in Framingham, Massachusetts. In 2012, Karla graduated cum laude from Framingham State University. where she received her B.A. in Business Administration. She then joined the professional division as an account executive specializing in for-profit and non-profit directors and officers liability, employment practices liability, and small miscellaneous E&O accounts.
At U.S. Risk, Karla focuses on D&O, EPL, E&O, and cyber liability, as well assists in our program business.

Neal Daunt
Executive Vice President
Neal joined U.S. Risk in 2017 with the acquisition of Strategic Insurance Underwriters. Neal has been with Strategic since 1991 and is charged with directing/overseeing the underwriting process and maintaining program profitability. Strategic’s focus is on underwriting for-hire motor carriers primarily in the Midwest and Southeast regions of the country. Strategic has exclusive programs with American Hallmark, Berkley National, and Eastern Atlantic Insurance in these regions. In addition, Strategic has underwriting authority with Occidental F&C, an in-house nationwide Lloyd’s program for APD & MTC and brokerage authority with Hallmark Brokerage on distressed risks.

Underwriter
Stephen has 15 years of experience in personal lines insurance, beginning with Travelers as a customer service rep before being promoted to a personal lines underwriter. After over seven years with Travelers, he moved to the surplus/wholesale/brokerage market. Prior to joining U.S. Risk, he spent three years with Burns & Wilcox and four years with All Risk Ltd. Stephen graduated from Texas State University with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice.

Paul Dickard
Senior Broker
Paul joined U.S. Risk in June 2019, bringing ten years of E&S experience with several national wholesalers in the Dallas area. He graduated from the Risk Management and Insurance Program at Mississippi State University. Paul specializes in brokerage and MGA placements for property and casualty exposures. His focus includes a wide variety of industries including contractors, habitational, real estate, hospitality, manufacturing, warehousing, and retail.

Senior Underwriter/Broker
Gina became part of the U.S. Risk team when the company acquired IMS London American in 2017. She has more than 30 years in the insurance industry, starting as a temporary typist and working her way up to underwriter. Gina has an Associate degree from Navarro College in Corsicana, Texas.

Assistant Vice President/Production Underwriter
Theresa specializes in placing workers’ compensation nationwide and can include, if necessary, longshore and maritime endorsements. Theresa joined U.S. Risk in 2000 and has over 35 years of experience in the insurance business.

William Duvall
Underwriter
William joined U.S. Risk in 2014 as part of the U.S. Risk Pros division located in Dallas, Texas. He underwrites professional liability risks with a focus on miscellaneous professional liability, employment practices liability, and insurance agents errors and omissions.
William graduated from Tarlton State University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. William served in the U.S. Marine Corps as an aircraft mechanic.
